Virgin Mary desecrated in church for not performing ‘miracle’ in disturbing CCTV

This is the shocking moment a painting of the Virgin Mary is pelted with stones by an angry homeless man on drugs – because he did not receive the miracles he had asked for.

The incident took place in the metropolitan Christian cathedral of Guadalajara, in the western Mexican state of Jalisco, when a homeless man, identified as Jorge, 38, threw stones against the framed painting of the Virgin Mary.

He admitted that he attacked the painting because the Virgin had not given him the miracles he asked for and he blamed her for his addiction issues and bad luck, according to local media.

The video recorded by the CCTV cameras shows Jorge inside the cathedral approaching the place where the painting is hanging on the wall.

He is seen in front of the painting while a churchgoer is reportedly putting money inside the poor box.

After the churchgoer leaves, Jorge is seen putting a bag on the ground before pulling from it a number of stones which he throws at the painting.

However, he was later caught by police who were guarding the church.
