Evil triple killer Levi Bellfield is having counselling in jail after he was diagnosed with PTSD.

Bellfield, the only man in Britain serving two whole-life sentences, is reportedly also being treated for anxiety and depression.

The vile 53-year-old murderer is now getting a weekly two-hour session with a therapist, which would cost around £360 in the outside world.

Bellfield received a life sentence in 2008 when he killed 22-year-old Amelie Delagrange and Marsha McDonnell, 19, and again in 2011 for the murder of Milly Dowler, 13.

The monster is currently being held at HMP Frankland, County Durham, The Sun reports.

According to The Sun, a source said: "All his problems are apparently linked to childhood trauma. You’d think he’d be more troubled by his crimes.

"A lot of people at the jail are disgusted by it. They see the help he gets as preferential treatment.

"I wonder if his victims’ families have been offered such help?"

David Spencer, of the Centre for Crime Prevention, called Bellfield’s treatment “obscene”.

He added: “While others are dealing with the consequences of his vile crimes, Bellfield is getting taxpayer-funded therapy.

“In our under-funded criminal justice system, surely there’s better ways to spend money.”

The Ministry of Justice refused to comment.

The sick murderer previously bragged about splashing hundreds of pounds on fancy designer clothes from jail.

The hammer killer boasted to pen pals about his wardrobe of pricey gear including Nike trainers, an Armani tracksuit and Hugo Boss T-shirts.

Bellfield, whose victims included Milly Dowler has hundreds of pounds in his prison bank account, given to him by friends and family members.

His purchases included Hackett polo shirts, which he reckoned were “very cheap” at £75 each.

The spending spree of nearly £400 happened while he was “bored” during lockdown.

Writing from HMP Frankland, under his Muslim convert name Yusuf Rahim, he told his pal: “Not a lot happening here, same old repetitive lockdown regime.
