Teen posts ‘creepy’ texts from Frankie and Benny’s worker after applying for job

A teenager has shared "creepy" text messages from a Frankie and Benny's employee sent after she applied for a job at the restaurant.

Katie Little, 17, applied for the waitressing role and received messages from the "weirdo" who she assumes got her number from her application form.

The employee, from the store in Orpington, London sent her a text calling her "gorgeous" and asking her "how is life treating you?"

The unprofessional messages have disgusted Katie, who posted the screenshots on social media in a bid to warn others.

The texts read: "Hey gorgeous x, how is life treating you?"

Kate replied: "Do I know you?"

The man said: "Think you applied for a waitressing job? You still looking?"

In a social media post, Kate writes: "I applied for job as a waitress for Frankie & Benny's.

"He has just text me saying 'hey gorgeous x hows life treating you' not indicating anything about the job until I questioned him who he was.

"I wanted to share because I find it very inappropriate as my CV has my date of birth clarifying I am only 17 years old."

In light of this, another woman came forward with a similar experience with what appears to be the same man.

Messages from the same number showed the man contacting her repeatedly, despite no response from the woman.

Social media users were outraged by the messages, with one writing: "That's actually disgusting."

Another added: "He shouldn't even be using your number that's terrible."

A third added: "He has no right to use her details to make contact other than work-related.

"He also clearly knew how old Katie is and although, yes legal, Katie is still a minor.

A Frankie and Benny's spokesman said: "We are aware of these extremely serious allegations and are investigating the matter.

"We have a zero-tolerance policy towards this sort of behaviour and will take the appropriate steps pending the conclusion of our investigation."

Daily Star Online has approached Frankie and Benny's for comment.
