A suspect in the Monday fatal hit-and-run collision in Parker has been arrested.
Tory Conyers, 44, was arrested Wednesday with the assistance of the Aurora Police Department SWAT team, the Parker Police Department said in a Facebook post.
“The Parker Police Department wants to thank the community for their assistance and the tips that were received as well as the Aurora Police Department for their efforts in apprehending the suspect,” the news release stated.
About 8:30 p.m. Monday night, a driver fleeing the scene of an alleged shoplifting incident at Walmart ran a red light at South Parker Road and Lincoln Avenue and hit a pedestrian who later died.
