Worry is mounting for the wellbeing of a 14-year-old schoolgirl after she disappeared six days ago without a trace.

Lorisa Flattery-Pegg, who was wearing a Disney t-shirt, vanished on Saturday, September 10 after the last time anyone saw her, at her home in Leicester, Leicestershire.

That was at at around 10.30pm, and now Leicestershire Police have issued a fresh appeal to try and determine her whereabouts.

Police have confirmed that since she was reported missing, she has not made contact with her family and police have said that "concern for her welfare is increasing".

It is believed the 14-year-old, who has a nose ring in her left nostril as well as a bar in her ear, is still in Leicestershire.

Lorisa is 5ft 3ins and slim, with shoulder-length blonde hair, which is usually worn down.

Lorisa may be wearing blue jeans and a blue striped top with an image of a Disney character stitched on it, police said.

With the bank holiday weekend approaching, officers want Leicestershire residents to keep an eye out for her and to get in touch with the police as soon as she is sighted.

The force are also asking for anyone with any information, no matter how seemingly insignificant, to get in touch.

Detective Inspector Ben Healy, from the missing persons team, said: “It’s nearly been a week since Lorisa was last seen and while we are continuing to try and establish her whereabouts, I would ask anyone who sees her over the weekend to get in touch as soon as they can.

“Any information you have, no matter how insignificant you think it could be, could help us find her."

Her disappearance comes as Leicestershire Police also continue to search for another woman, 24-year-old Umila Krishna, from Beaumont Leys, who was reported missing at 1pm on Friday, September 26.

Umila is black, 5ft 4ins tall, and of slim build – she has long black hair which is currently worn in a bun. She is believed to be wearing a white long-sleeved top and grey chino trousers.

Officers are actively looking for Umila and want anyone who has seen her or someone matching her description to get in touch.
