Prince William is ramping up preparations in 2020 to take over from his dad Prince Charles, Daily Star Online has discovered.
The Duke of Cambridge is readying himself to become heir to the throne when the Queen dies and Charles becomes King.
He will automatically inherit his dad’s “Duke of Cornwall” title and £1billion “Duchy of Cornwall” estate when the big day comes.
Daily Star Online previously revealed how he had been attending several meetings of the Duchy in 2019 ahead of the big change.
And now we have found he attended another one last week – the first of the new year – as he continues his preparations.

The Royal Family’s official royal diary – the Court Circular – states the Duke held the meeting as his Kensington Palace home last Thursday.
It states: “The Duke of Cambridge this morning received Mr. Alastair Martin (Secretary of the Duchy of Cornwall).”
William will eventually take over the running of the Duchy of Cornwall – which is a massive private estate of land and property which provides income for the heir – when the Charles becomes monarch.
He will automatically inherit possession of the Duchy and be bestowed the title "Duke of Cornwall”.

The Duchy owns around 134,000 acres of land in more than 23 counties in the UK and is allegedly valued at £1billion.
It reportedly generated Charles £20.5million last year, which Charles uses to fund his public, charitable and private activities.
He also uses it to cover the official expenses of his family – including Wills, Kate and previously Prince Harry and Meghan Markle before the Sussexes quit as royals.
Charlie Proctor, editor of Royal Central, had previously told Daily Star Online: “Just like Prince Charles is preparing to become King, William is already preparing to become Prince of Wales ready for the duties & responsibilities he will have to take on.

“As an example, William recently left his job as an air ambulance pilot to become a full time working royal. As time goes on his presence becomes ever more important meaning he has to commit all of his working time to royal duties.
“I think it is important to say that just like his father, William is also preparing to become King. There is no chance that William will be Prince of Wales for more than 60 years.
“As such, he must also learn the ropes because his time on the throne may come sooner rather than later."

Charlie added: “William is preparing to become Prince of Wales (and King) through his current duties as second-in-line to the throne.
“He is championing causes he cares about, is holding meetings and audiences with various groups, and is being advised by senior aides.”
As well as becoming the Duke of Cornwall, it is also likely Charles – as King – will bestow upon Wills the title of Prince of Wales, which is traditionally given to the heir.
