A porn star has urged fans to wash their hands in the wake of the deadly coronavirus outbreak in a bizarre video.

Brit adult entertainer Sophie Anderson has been praised by fans for using her platform to spreading the health message, which falls in line with official government advice.

While cupping her assets in a steamy post, Sophie who has 286,5000 followers, tells fans: "Make sure that you always wash your hands to be hygienic, yeah."

The 10-second vid, which appeared on fellow porn and social media star Rebecca More's Twitter page last week, has been viewed over 36,000 times.

Rebecca bigged up her friend, tweeting: "Big announcement from a legend."

Buxom blonde Sophie then appears wearing a branded T-shirt and without make-up with her hair up in a messy bun to drive home the important public health message.

Fans heaped praise on the ladies, who have developed a cult-following online, for helping for spreading the word.

"Thanks for that announcement Sophie," adult photographer Gunther Freddy replied.

"Queen of hygiene" responded another, while someone else urged people to "listen" to the important message.

"You are defo a role model," someone added.

While one man joked Sophie had "saved us all" with the health advice.

It comes as the UK government has launched an public information campaign to contain the spread of the deadly COVID-19 virus which has claimed 3,500 lives worldwide, including two elderly victims in the UK.

Public health advises the key things to do to avoid catching the virus is to "wash your hands more often than usual, for 20 seconds each time with soap and water or hand sanitiser".

People should also "avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands" and avoid people who are unwell.

Meanwhile some outlets are reporting a downturn in the adult sex industry and people shun contact over contagion fears.

The Daily Examiner in Australia report: "The coronavirus has hit the sex industry with some brothels reporting an eye-watering 80% fall in clients."

Rolling Stone also reports porn stars are avoiding filming sex scenes in favour of solo live streaming.

Giselle Palmer told the magazine: “I’ve shifted my focus to content platforms and streaming; things I can do with no physical contact with other performers. And I’m pretty happy with that decision.
