Police officer ‘appalled’ as gran shares ‘one of most offensive messages ever’

A police officer has hit back after a woman tweeted that only men could be cops.

PC Rosie Finnis, who works for Essex Police, described the comments by Twitter account The Transformed Wife as "one of the most offensive things she's ever read".

The controversial comment was posted on Twitter by the account run by Lori Alexander, who says in her bio that she "loves Jesus and is not afraid to speak Truth because it sets you free!"

In her tweet, she wrote: "I'm not sure how men could be attracted to women dressed as men like female police officers and females in the military.

"These are men's jobs. If they weren't, then women could dress like women in these jobs but they can't. Stick to being feminine, women."

PC Finnis hit back as she proudly shared a picture of herself in her uniform, Mirror Online reported.

She replied: "This is one of the most offensive things I've ever read.

"I am confident when I say, there's not a female police officer that joined the job because the uniform is flattering.

"To minimise the work we do down to a uniform is appalling. I'm not here for men to find attractive."

More than 1,000 people have liked PC Finnis' tweet, and she was soon swamped with supportive comments.

But that didn't stop Lori from continuing her idiotic rant.

She wrote: "Imagine getting in an uproar because I encourage Christian women to be feminine, dress feminine, and not to go after male-dominated, masculine jobs.

"It's heartbreaking to see mothers taken away from their babies for months on end because they have decided to pursue these jobs.

She went on: "Many are angry with me for saying thatI' not a fan of women being in the military and police force, but the blurring of the sexes has been catastrophic for our culture.

"Another commented: "All women are beautiful just being themselves. A woman in uniform is just as beautiful!"

While a third said: "The most ignorant statement I have ever read… and plus my army uniform and Deputy uniform are female style cut so I'm not wearing a male style uniform to begin with."
