OnlyFans star blew £1.1m on lavish home with pool after ‘murdering boyfriend’

An OnlyFans model on trial for murder reportedly bought a swanky Texas home just over two months after stabbing her boyfriend to death.

Courtney Clenney splashed out on the $1.35m (£1.14m) home, complete with a swimming pool, hot tub, and media and games rooms, on June 17, the New York Post reported.

It came just two months after she stabbed her boyfriend, cryptocurrency trader Christian Obumseli, on April 3, leading to his death.

Testifying in court on Thursday (Nov 17), her dad Kim Clenney said his daughter had left Miami, where the fatal incident occurred, and bought her new pad so she could be closer to her family after Mr Obumseli's death.

The new 3080-square-foot home sits on a hillside in Austin and may sound pricey, but the social media star had reportedly been shelling out $10k (£8.4k) to live in a luxury condo in Miami and boasted a fortune of $3m (£2.52m) in OnlyFans earnings.

The house has four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a pool, and a hot tub.

It even had media and game rooms and was located just a stone's throw from her parent's home.

Clenney snapped up the swanky residence shortly after the incident which saw her boyfriend killed.

However just two months after clinching the deal, while in rehab in Hawaii in August, Clenney was arrested on suspicion of murdering Mr Obumseli.

Clenney admits killing Mr Obumseli but says she did so in self-defence, and claims that she had endured a campaign of ongoing abuse at his hands before the stabbing took place.

The prosecution, however, refutes these claims, arguing Clenney was the aggressor in the couple's relationship and that she killed Mr Obumseli out of pure anger.

The Miami State’s Attorney’s Office recalled that Clenney had previously stabbed her boyfriend during a different argument, this time in the leg, had once made a threat against his life, and had used a racial slur against him several times during their explosive exchanges.

Clenney’s defense attorneys say additional evidence will show she killed her partner in self-defence.

They have even argued for her to be released on bail.

However prosecutors have argued against this, citing her lofty OnlyFans earnings – $1.8m (£1.5m) in 2021 and $327,221 (£250k) in the month of August 2022 alone, prior to her account being shut down – and her motive to flee as reasons why she should not be granted bail.
