Mum’s confusion at Aldi bourbon biscuit pack with every one having no filling

A mum-of-seven who brought a pack of Aldi bourbon biscuits was horrified to discover that not a single one had any filling.

Stunned Amanda Fisher, 43, was planning to enjoy the sandwich-style treats with a cup of tea – but her plans were foiled upon discovering that every single one was missing the classic buttercream filling.

Amanda, from County Kerry, Ireland, brought the biscuits from Aldi for around 20p.

The supermarket giant offered to ship her a 200g replacement pack, but she turned it down “because they didn’t cost too much”.

She said: "All of them had no cream inside.

"At first my daughter thought my son had licked all of the cream out of them.

“I have never seen that before and thought it was funny.

“I was surprised when I opened the packet and saw the first one. I decided to get the rest out and they were all the same.

“I told Aldi about it and they offered to send me a new packet but I wasn’t that bothered because they didn’t cost much.”

The baffled mum posted pictures of the creamless biscuits to Facebook, attracting scores of comments from her friends.

The budget supermarket planned to roll out its self-service tills following a successful trial at its Glascote store in Staffordshire.
