The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's staff branded Meghan a sociopath and began calling themselves the "Sussex Survivors Club", due to their treatment by the couple while on a tour of the South Pacific, says a royal expert.
The Time's Royal Correspondent Valentine Low's explosive new book Courtiers: The Hidden Power Behind the Crown, outlines how the Sussex's staff felt they were treated rudely by the royal pair while on a tour of Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga.
In one incident, Harry and Meghan were due to greet the press at the plane to thank them for coming, a formality that comes standard on a royal tour.

The Express reports that in transit on a flight from Sydney to Tonga, staff had promised press Harry would make an appearance, enflaming what Low describes as Harry's "prickly and strained" relationship with the media while on tour, despite it going well and the couple being well received.
Low wrote: "I remember the scene well. Harry looked like a sulky teenager, Meghan stood behind him, smiling benignly. Her only contribution was a comment about how much everyone must be looking forward to Sunday lunch at home.
"Harry sounded rushed, as if he couldn’t wait to get back into the first-class cabin. 'Thanks for coming', he said, 'even though you weren’t invited'."
Low labelled Harry's comment as "spectacularly rude" and asserted that when staff told the prince he had offended the press team, Prince Harry said: "Well, you shouldn’t have made me do it."

According to Low, the Sussex's staff also appeared shocked by the duke and duchess' behaviour and began to call themselves "Sussex Survivors Club".
In his book, Low also claimed the couple's staff called Meghan a "narcissistic sociopath" and felt like they had been played by her.
He wrote: "Sources say the team came up with a damning epithet for Meghan: a 'narcissistic sociopath'.
"They also reportedly said on repeated occasions: 'We were played.'"
