Meghan Markle pal Jessica Mulroney posts Royal Wedding throwback

Meghan Markle 's former best pal Jessica Mulroney has shared a throwback snap of her BFF's wedding to Prince Harry following a reported falling-out between the two.

The 40-year-old stylist from Canada posted a picture on her Instagram of her son Brian, who was a page boy at the big day, beaming as he stands behind Meghan.

She added a wistful caption to the sweet image, writing: "When I feel dark and grey, I see this and it all goes away."

This was later changed to: "I see this and pure joy."

It comes after the mum-of-three returned to social media earlier this month following a two-year break in the wake of a bitter race row.

Jessica was accused by black influencer Sasha Exeter of "threatening her livelihood" after she took "offence" at a video she posted supporting the Black Lives Matter movement.

Meghan, 39, was reported to have cut ties with Jessica in the wake of the racism storm, with one source telling the Mail Online she had been left "mortified" by the scandal and felt she could "no longer be associated" with her.

The pal said: "Meghan is absolutely mortified that she's been dragged into this complete mess.

"She said Jessica is in no way a racist, but the way she handled the situation was tone-deaf and heartbreaking.

"Meghan said friends reflect friends and because of what's at stake she can no longer be associated with Jessica, at least no in public."

But despite claims this was the "beginning of the end of their friendship," Jessica had previously shut down the suggestion she had been "dumped" by her friend as "fake news".

Meghan and Jessica's friendship goes back to the former actress' time living in Toronto, Canada, while filming the hit show Suits.

Jessica's twin sons John and Brian, now 10, served as page boys at the Royal Wedding in May 2018, with the sweet image posted on her Instagram showing a toothless Brian grinning as he stood behind Meghan entering St George's Chapel in Windsor.

She recently credited her sons for "giving her the will to live when everything fell apart" in a post shared to mark their 10th birthdays.

When Meghan and Harry were first dating, they spent time at Jessica's house, hiding out when the news of their relationship broke.

But in the wake of the race row, Jessica saw her slot as a fashion contributor on Good Morning America axed by ABC.

Canadian TV network CTV also distanced themselves from her, revealing it was pulling all episodes of her wedding-focused reality shot I Do Redo from its platforms ahead of the expected US premiere on Netflix.

Jessica then stepped down from the board of directors of her own charity, The Shoebox Project, which she founded with sisters-in-law Caroline, Vanessa, and Katy Mulroney.

Her husband Ben, son of the former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, then stepped down as host of CTV's celebrity news talk show "etalk" following 18 years of hosting.

Most recently, Jessica returned to Instagram and hinted at a new project, telling her followers she was using her time away from Instagram to work on a project helping "marginalised communities across Canada".

She wouldn't elaborate, but in a follow-up Instagram story post, she said: "If anyone has old computers they no longer use, please DM me."
