Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will have to produce six shows for Spotify by the end of a year, claims a royal correspondent.
Former Metro royal correspondent Neil Sean has claimed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have to crack on with Spotify wanting to ‘see product’ ’before the end of 2021.
So far the couple have produced one show while they are busy looking after their newborn daughter, signing deals with Netflix and volunteering during the coronavirus crisis, writes the Express.
Speaking on his daily news show, Neil said: "A lot of people are now saying have they been dumped from that particular deal.
"The deal itself, you don't get all the money upfront. What you do is receive a substantial advance payment.”
The royal correspondent went on to talk about the details of the deal and how the couple would work with Spotify on the content.
He added: "What a lot of people don't know about Harry and Meghan's deal with Spotify was and is a development deal.
“A development deal is a lot different than a mega signing. They say we'll help you, guide you and co-produce it with you if you desire and then Spotify will decide what they do and don't like.
"Nine months down the track we haven't seen much so one would question exactly what do or don't like.
"In defence of Harry and Meghan, they've had a very busy few months as they welcome their brand new daughter Lilibet.

"What we can tell you first here on the show is Spotify itself is looking to see product before the end of the year, particularly a six-part series they hope to start prior to the festive season."
The claims over the Spotify deal come after a YouGov poll shows that Prince Harry and Meghan’s popularity with Brits has plummeted.
The couple's popularity in the UK has hit an all-time low and is at the same level as when Prince Charles divorced Princess Diana.
Commenting on the news of the drop to Closer Magazine, royal expert Duncan Larcombe said the Duke's apparent fall from grace "must be really hard for him’ and ‘probably adds to his anger’.
Larcombe added: ‘Meghan too was so welcomed in the beginning, but now the UK has lost trust in her. Their popularity has totally nosedived.’
