Inside pregnant Meghan’s ‘private arrangements’ to watch funeral from US home

Meghan Markle will watch Prince Philip’s funeral on a special live stream, Buckingham Palace confirmed.

The Duchess of Sussex is unable to be by Prince Harry’s side as she is heavily pregnant and unable to travel.

She reportedly made "every effort" to attend, but doctors ordered the Suits star to stay home for her health and the health of her unborn child, a girl.

Meghan will instead watch the Duke of Edinburgh's ceremonial funeral from the comfort of her Santa Monica home in California.

The Palace said anyone who is unable to attend will make "private arrangements" to mark Philip's life, including Meghan.

The "special arrangements" are expected to include a special live stream which will show online coverage of the ceremony.

It will reportedly be the same footage as BC, ITV and other broadcasters, but won't have live commentary and punditry.

Meghan will likely tribute the Duke from the U.S. too, but it is unclear whether she will do this publicly or privately.

The Queen reportedly "understands" why pregnant Meghan hasn't flown to the UK with her husband.

A source told People that both Meghan and Harry "were in contact with the Queen" soon after Philip's death.

Meghan reportedly "expressed condolences" to Her Majesty, a source told people who added that "it was always a given Harry would return to England."

  • Prince Philip still 'thought extremely fondly' of Harry despite Megxit, insider claims

The source said: "It was always a given that Harry would return to England for his grandfather's passing.

"Meghan expressed condolences. The Queen understands why she can't travel at the moment."

Prince Philip's death comes just weeks after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle publicly criticised the Firm in a bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey.

In the interview, Meghan claimed a senior member of the Royal Family had asked Harry about the colour of their son, Archie Mountbatten-Windsor's skin, prior to his birth.
