Google Maps appeared to catch one man 'attacking' another with what appears to be a pickaxe.

The bizarre scene was captured in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, although suspicious Reddit users think those involved were posing for the Google car.

A posting online is titled: "Quick, the Google car is coming."

The image shows one man standing over his seemingly stricken pal, who is lying on the pavement. The man with the pickaxe looks ready to bring it down upon his mate.

One Reddit user asked: "What is even going on there?"

Another commented on the location, asking: "This is Fenton ain't it? Never thought I'd see good old Stoke on Reddit."

One more responded: "Yup, by the Methodist church."

Other Redditors were amused by the incredible scene. One joked: "Just Minecraft Steve harvesting the bodies for some meat."

Another internet user remarked: "Even with the blur I can tell the guy on the left is laughing his ass off."

A third commented: "People who drive google cars must see a lot of crazy stuff."

Meanwhile, Google Maps users were shocked when one spotted a Soviet tank parked on a quiet London street.

The vehicle was seen by an eagle-eyed user of the app's Street View tool between Bermondsey and Elephant and Castle.

And other users found reviews of a North Korean concentration camp.

The reviews, which are mostly positive, have been left for the Yodok Concentration Camp.

It is found about 110km northeast of the country's capital of Pyongyang.

The camp was used to segregate those seen as enemies of the state, punish them for political misdemeanours and put them to hard labour but was reportedly closed down in 2014.
