Golden retriever’s reaction to ice cube in his bowl leaves viewers in hysterics

A golden retriever has gone out of control when he was frustrated to get an ice cube out of the water bowl.

Hudson the pooch, from Connecticut, US, reacted hysterically when his mum, Caroline, left a big block of ice in his drinking bowl.

A throwback video posted onto the canine's dedicated Instagram @sirhudsonthegolden captures the flurry friend's hilarious reaction to the ice cube.

Hudson tries his best to gnaw on the ice block and picks it up by his mouth but it keeps slipping away from him.

Despite the chilling sensation he gets from the bite, the dedicated pooch won't stop trying and even gives a snarl when he gets frustrated.

He tilts his head while figuring a way to pick up the big block.

Eventually, Hudson opens his jaws and picks it in one go.

The post read: "Throwback to when I was a little pupper and showed that big mean icy cube who’s boss."

Viewers were left in stitches when they watched the dog fighting his way to get the ice.

One commented with laughing emojis: "Happy ending to this."

Another dog owner wrote: "My dog would take a chonk out of that."

Giving your dog ice cubes, either crushed up or in his drinking water, is an excellent and safe way to keep your beloved pooch hydrated on a hot summer’s day.

It is also a healthy and natural way to keep his teeth clean, according to thelabradorsite.

But there is a potential danger that the ice cube could make your dog's teeth brittle and even chipped if it chews aggressively on it.

Safe advice is to crush the ice cube into smaller pieces.
