A six-year-old boy has become the fourth child confirmed to have died after falling into an icy lake in Solihull on Sunday, West Midlands Police said.
The youngster had been in Birmingham Children's Hospital following a fall into the ice last weekend.
The tragic news of the six-year-old's death comes after a group of three boys lost their lives in the same fall through the iced-over lake.

Three boys aged just 11, 10, and eight were each pulled from the icy waters and taken to hospital on Sunday, with the three suffering from cardiac arrests.
Relatives of one boy who passed away following a plunge into the ice, Jack Johnson, is said to have bravely attempted a rescue of the other children who had fallen into the water.
The 11-year-old victim of the ice plunge was named in floral tributes as Thomas, while the name of the third boy to have died in the horrible tragedy has yet to be named.
The six-year-old boy latest to have died has not been publicly named yet either.
A statement from West Midlands police read: "It is with heartfelt sadness that we have to report this afternoon, the six-year-old in hospital has lost his fight for life.

"Our deepest sympathies are with the families and friends of those involved in this tragedy.
"We cannot comprehend the enormity of the pain they must feel and our hearts go out to them. Specialist officers remain in contact with the family and we will issue further information as soon as we can.
The searches have been completed and the scene of the incident at the lake will be lifted this evening."
Daily Star had previously reported the tragedy, with one 13-year-old girl saying she tried to help the youngsters who had fallen into the river by tearing off tree branches in a bid to save them.
