A company has been fined after a bloke's ear and scalp was ripped off in a horror accident.
The unnamed man was working for the Caspian Group Limited at its site on East Common Lane, Scunthorpe in 2018 when the incident occurred.
The company was previously known as Caspian Access and Plant Hire Limited, and the man was injured by a machine he was oiling at the time.

According to Grimsby Live, the man's ponytail became trapped in the rotating mechanism, tearing his face and scalp as well as ripping off one of his ears.
Shockingly, the tip of one of his fingers had to be amputated as a result of further injuries suffered by the horror accident.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he spent two weeks having a series of skin grafts.
The Health and Safety Executive investigated the incident and company, and it was discovered that the machine involved was bought second hand a year prior.
The machine, an MPC Micromatic Timber stress grading machine – which tests the strength of timber -was found to pose an “obvious risk” to those using it, as it “lacked suitable safety guards”.
The HSE claimed that Caspian was aware of the issues but failed to rectify it – and have now been hit with a £70,000 fine, as well as being ordered to pay £13,012.76 in costs during a hearing at Grimsby Magistrates' Court.

HSE inspector Kirstie Durrans said: “Serious accidents occur each year due to companies not identifying and managing the risks posed by machinery.
“The dangers of unguarded machinery are well known. If Caspian Group Limited had properly assessed the risks and then installed suitable guards the incident would not have happened.”
Caspian Group Limited, of East Common Lane, Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire, pleaded guilty to breaching Section 2 (1) of the Health & Safety at Work etc Act 1974.
