Many supplements out there will sell themselves to you by saying they help improve key functions such as memory, concentration and wakefulness. But some supplements are better than others in improving how long you can hold your attention. So what are the best supplements for brain function?
A natural amino acid, L-theanine seems to have the potential for improving mental performance, especially when combined with caffeine.

A UCLA study found people who took curcumin fared better on memory tests and had less buildup of abnormal proteins in their brains.
In places where curcumin is more commonly consumed, there are also lower rates of Alzheimer’s disease, such as in India.

Studies have shown taking 100 mg of phosphatidylserine three times per day could help reduce age-related decline in brain function, and additionally, healthy individuals who take phosphatidylserine supplements of up to 400mg per day have been shown to have improved thinking skills and memory.
